The nation’s mortgage insurance industry has greatly increased home ownership opportunities in the United States and is rapidly expanding its services into international markets.  Our firm is one of the leading providers of legal services to mortgage insurers and their trade association, the Mortgage Insurance Companies of America (MICA).

We advise mortgage insurers on compliance with RESPA, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Gramm Leach Bliley Act, the European Privacy Directive, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Truth in Lending Act, state insurance statutes, and other state and federal laws and regulations.  We assist them with contract underwriting, reinsurance  and other arrangements with various settlement service providers.  We represent mortgage insurers before the Congress, HUD and the FTC and the Federal Reserve as well as state regulatory agencies.
