Carla Levinson provides regulatory and transactional advice to mortgage and consumer finance companies, banks, and other financial institutions. Ms. Levinson advises such clients on compliance with state and federal laws, including those governing licensing, usury, disclosures, privacy, and electronic commerce. She assists financial service firms in developing, structuring and negotiating business relationships, including outsourcing arrangements and joint ventures. Ms. Levinson also works on mergers and acquisitions and loan securitizations.
Ms. Levinson is a member of the District of Columbia and Virginia Bar Associations.
Ms. Levinson was a member of the Editorial Board of the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology.
Prior to joining Buckley Kolar, Ms. Levinson was an associate with Goodwin Procter LLP.
Ms. Levinson was made a member of the Virginia Chapter of the Order of the Coif in 2001 and a member of Phi Beta Kappa in 1994.
